Who We Are

Built by Experience. Defined by Credibility. Trusted Across Governance.

At DharmaSetu Goldschmidt Advisory, we are proud to bring together a rare and formidable collective — a team of individuals whose lives’ work has been deeply interwoven with the administrative, regulatory, and policy-making fabric of India.

We are not a firm built on resumes. We are a firm built on reputation, relationships, and regulatory insight, earned through decades of service in some of the most complex and high-responsibility corridors of Indian governance.

Bureaucratic Insight at the Core

Our team includes retired senior IAS officers who have served at the highest echelons of government — as Principal Secretaries, Department Heads, Urban Development Commissioners, and Chairpersons of regulatory boards. Their understanding of how governance truly functions — from file notings to cabinet approvals — is a strength we offer to every client.

Several of our advisors have served at the Mantralaya in Maharashtra, managing departments like Industry, Urban Development, Revenue, Labour, and Environment. Their long-standing understanding of state-level procedure, hierarchy, and reform frameworks enables us to offer not just access — but clarity and foresight.

We also include former central government bureaucrats who have worked with ministries such as Commerce & Industry, Finance, Environment & Forests, and MSME. Their knowledge of policy cycles, inter-ministerial dependencies, and institutional documentation protocols allows us to guide even the most complex representations with accuracy and discipline.

Administrative Services, Security & Local Governance

We are proud to be advised by former IPS officers and District Magistrates, whose expertise extends beyond law and order — into land administration, dispute resolution, urban safety, and community-level governance.

Their deep roots in district-level systems across Maharashtra give us a unique ability to manage approvals, permissions, and escalations not just at the top — but at the taluka, tehsil, and ward levels. This is particularly critical in land acquisition, infrastructure projects, and slum redevelopment, where local interface often determines momentum.

Their presence also ensures that we approach every local engagement — whether with a police department or a gram panchayat — with the right protocol, tone, and respect for institutional norms.

Legal, Regulatory & Urban Planning Authorities

Our team includes retired legal officers, former planning heads, and compliance veterans from regulatory bodies such as MPCB, DTP, MHADA, and MIDC. These are professionals who understand precisely how frameworks such as DCPR, SPA, CRZ, RERA, and EIA are interpreted and implemented — not just on paper, but in practice.

Their insight helps us:

  • Anticipate objections before they arise
  • Prepare submissions that are legally coherent and departmentally aligned
  • Coordinate with technical consultants and architects with better synergy
  • Build institutional trust through disciplined follow-through

Policy Advisors, Economists & Strategic Consultants

Our strategy group includes professionals who have:

  • Participated in working groups with NITI Aayog and industry chambers
  • Drafted and advised on state-level industrial policies, EV guidelines, data center frameworks, and infrastructure incentive schemes
  • Served as advisors to international development institutions and regulatory think tanks

These team members help us support clients in public policy representation, scheme eligibility interpretation, and whitepaper development, ensuring that our clients’ voices are heard in shaping policy — not just following it.

On-Ground Liaison & Documentation Experts

No advisory is complete without those who work on the ground every day. Our firm includes specialized liaison professionals, many of whom have:

  • Spent their careers working with ward offices, MIDC zones, collectorates, and planning authorities
  • Developed personal rapport with department clerks, section officers, and local engineers
  • Deep understanding of what documents are reviewed, how files move, and which timelines are realistic

Their contribution is what turns knowledge into execution — with discipline, humility, and procedural fluency.

Our Collective Ethos

We are not a team of lobbyists or influencers.
We are a team of interpreters of governance, navigators of compliance, and custodians of institutional trust.

What binds us is:

A shared respect for India's administrative frameworks

A lifelong commitment to public service and lawful facilitation

A belief that great execution begins with great preparation and quiet persistence

At DharmaSetu Goldschmidt Advisory, we do not move files.

We build bridges — through relationships, trust, and procedural excellence.
Our team reflects this philosophy in every department we engage, and every outcome we deliver.
